Source package workflow
-----------------------

To build and sign a source package using the version already at the top of
debian/changelog, run this from the repository root:

	./debian/build-source-package.sh

The script uses the current changelog version unchanged, downloads the
matching upstream source only if its orig tarball is missing, builds a
source-only package including the upstream orig tarball (`-sa`), runs lintian,
and signs the source changes. Including the orig tarball is required when
uploading a new upstream version to mentors.debian.net. It does not
modify debian/changelog or upload anything. The upstream archive's debian/
directory is excluded when uscan repacks it; the resulting orig tarball keeps
the upstream version from the changelog, without a +ds suffix. The script
prints the dput command for you to run manually. Configure a `mentors` target
in your dput configuration before uploading.

The build is staged from that orig tarball plus the current debian/ directory.
Commits in the checkout newer than the upstream version are not included.

Because this script only builds a source package, it skips the build-dependency
check and does not compile the application. For a binary build, use a Debian
build environment that provides all dependencies in debian/control. debsign
uses the maintainer's configured signing key.
