"summary": "drm/nouveau: fix u32 overflow in pushbuf reloc bounds check",
"details": "In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\n\ndrm/nouveau: fix u32 overflow in pushbuf reloc bounds check\n\nnouveau_gem_pushbuf_reloc_apply() validates each relocation with\n\n if (r->reloc_bo_offset + 4 > nvbo->bo.base.size)\n\nbut reloc_bo_offset is __u32 (uapi/drm/nouveau_drm.h) and the integer\nliteral 4 promotes to unsigned int, so the addition is performed in 32\nbits and wraps before the comparison against the size_t bo size.\n\nCast to u64 so the addition happens in 64-bit arithmetic.\n\n[ Add Fixes: tag. - Danilo ]",

"scenario": "AV:L - The bug is reached through the DRM_IOCTL_NOUVEAU_GEM_PUSHBUF ioctl on the local GPU device/render node; it requires local system access, not network or adjacent reachability.\nAC:L - The attacker fully controls the relocation array (reloc_bo_offset, data, presumed fields) and can deterministically set reloc_bo_offset to 0xFFFFFFFC to wrap the check and force the write; there is no race or uncontrolled condition.\nPR:L - NOUVEAU_GEM_PUSHBUF is marked DRM_RENDER_ALLOW, so it is accessible to any unprivileged local user holding the render node (no root or DRM master required).\nUI:N - The attacking process issues the ioctl itself; no action by another user or victim is needed.\nS:U - The out-of-bounds write corrupts kernel memory within the kernel's own security authority and does not cross a VM/IOMMU/sandbox boundary.\nC:H - A controlled out-of-bounds kernel write of this kind is a memory-corruption primitive that can be leveraged to corrupt adjacent structures and ultimately disclose kernel memory.\nI:H - The flaw yields an out-of-bounds write of a largely attacker-controlled 32-bit value into kernel address space, an arbitrary-write-class primitive enabling control-flow/data corruption.\nA:H - The wild write at a fixed ~4 GB offset beyond the buffer mapping almost always hits unmapped/foreign memory, causing a kernel oops or panic."
