AV:L - The USB Type-C connector class registration/teardown path that reaches `typec_altmode_release()` is driven from local userspace — the commit's own KASAN trace shows the path entered via `ksys_write`/`vfs_write` → `kernfs_fop_write_iter` → `bind_store` — as well as by attaching/detaching a USB-C partner or cable. This matches how comparable USB Type-C class lifetime bugs are scored (e.g. CVE-2026-64463, also AV:L).
AC:L - The attacker fully controls the trigger: driving the port/partner/plug register-unregister cycle (bind/unbind, module load/unload, or repeated USB-C attach/detach with alt-mode-advertising devices) deterministically produces the stale-parent dereference, as the reporter reproduced. No condition outside the attacker's control is required.
PR:L - A basic local account suffices to interact with the Type-C class and drive the device lifecycle sequences that free the parent before the altmode release runs; no elevated capability is inherent to the vulnerable code itself. Choosing the higher of L/H per the uncertainty rule and consistent with prior USB/typec scoring in this series.
UI:N - The attacker performs the triggering register/unregister cycle themselves; no action by any other user or victim is needed.
S:U - The use-after-free occurs on kernel slab memory and its impact is confined to the kernel's own security authority — no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - This is a slab use-after-free: `typec_altmode_release()` reads `dev->parent->type` and the embedded `mode_ids` from a freed `typec_port`/`typec_partner`/`typec_plug` object, and the freed slot can be groomed with attacker-controlled data, yielding an information-disclosure primitive.
I:H - `altmode_id_remove()` performs `ida_free()` on an IDA located inside the freed object, writing through IDA/XArray pointers taken from reallocated attacker-controlled memory — a write primitive that can be leveraged for control-flow hijack.
A:H - KASAN confirms a slab-use-after-free (`BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in typec_altmode_release`) reached from a workqueue context; the corrupted IDA operation reliably leads to kernel oops or panic."
