"scenario": "AV:L - The bug is triggered by a local VIDIOC_QUERYMENU ioctl on a UVC /dev/videoX node with a crafted menu index, not by USB descriptor/traffic from a malicious device.\nAC:L - The attacker fully controls the u32 index and can reliably force test_bit() past menu_mask into adjacent or unmapped memory without depending on races or other uncontrolled conditions.\nPR:L - Opening the video device and issuing VIDIOC_QUERYMENU requires only ordinary local access to /dev/videoX (e.g., video group or session ACL); querymenu does not call uvc_acquire_privileges or need CAP_*.\nUI:N - Once the attacker can open the existing UVC device node, exploitation needs no additional victim action such as plugging in a device or confirming a prompt.\nS:U - Impact remains within the local kernel/OS authority; this is a standard host kernel bug with no VM, IOMMU, or other security-authority boundary crossing.\nC:H - User-controlled index makes test_bit() an unbounded OOB read (bit oracle over attacker-chosen offsets), and a successful bit check can further OOB-index menu name tables and copy up to 32 bytes into the querymenu response.\nI:N - The vulnerable path only performs reads (test_bit/strscpy); the corresponding control-set path already bounds the value with ffs/fls, so there is no OOB write or integrity primitive.\nA:H - A sufficiently large index causes test_bit() to load from unmapped kernel addresses, producing a reliable kernel oops/crash and denial of service."
